Coronavirus Public Service Announcement

This 30 second audio clip for Broadcast Writing and Reporting was to write, record and produce a public service announcement regarding COVID-19, the coronavirus, for WMCO, 90.7 Orbit Media. In this PSA I explained how the coronavirus spreads.  The clip shows my ability to show tone under serious circumstance with even paced timing.  I recorded the voice over and it was placed on a music bed. I utilized AIDA formula to write the script in Rundown Creator.  This PSA showed my ability to convey reassuring, factual information during this unprecedented global health crisis.

WMCO 90.7 Orbit Media Promo

This assignment was to write, record and produce a 30 second radio spot promo for WMCO 90.7 Orbit Media, New Concord, Ohio. I utilized and completed the copy platform and AIDA formula to write and construct the content of my script in Rundown Creator.  Additionally, I recorded the voice over and it was placed on a music bed. This was a challenging, yet fun assignment that utilized much of what I learned throughout the course. The promo was used and aired on the station to recruit WMCO listeners to follow Orbit907News on Facebook.

Muskingum University Church Services Update

This audio clip, where I was the anchor, was an assignment that was created for WMCO 90.7, Orbit Media in New Concord, Ohio. One minute and 18 seconds in length, the script was provided to me so I could record the voice over. This piece was produced due to the change of services due to the coronavirus. The voice over displays my ability to be speak in a clear pace with appropriate tone. Once completed, this report aired during the news segment of WMCO the week of April 1, 2020.

New Concord Police Receive New Certification

This is a 1 minute, 11 second audio clip for Broadcast Writing and Reporting.  I was asked to take the news script regarding the New Concord Police receiving a new certification and record it in my voice as the anchor. The voice over shows how I utilize appropriate tone and steady pace to read the story.  The final report was aired the week of April 22, 2020, during news segments on WMCO 90.7 Orbit Media, New Concord, Ohio.
