“I’m at Peace.” A Reporter’s Dream Came True
Reporter Glenn Schuck from 1010 WINS has been influenced by the radio and its works since he was a young boy.
Schuck had a love and passion for listening to all of the current events.
With his love for sports and the voices he would hear on the radio, it really helped Schuck grow the love for the news. ” I’ve always been a news junky. Even sports, which to me, I consider news. I just always loved current events or anything that is happening in the world,” Said Schuck.
Schuck’s love for the Yankees was the start of his passion for sports and the radio.
“I’m kind of a radio geek. I knew I wanted to do this since I was probably ten years old,” said Schuck.
Growing up in New Jersey in the ’70s and ’80s, Schuck was a huge Yankees fan. He would listen to the games at night on his little radio and would be amazed by the voices that came out of it.
Schuck took action and knew that he wanted to be just like the people he would listen to on the radio when he was growing up. With a little experience in high school, Schuck took his passion into college at Seton Hall University for radio and majored in Communication. He went on to become a main reporter for the biggest radio station in New York for nearly 18 years. “I’m at peace. I accomplished something that is a one in a million chance and somehow I pulled it off,” said Schuck.
With a lot of success behind Schuck’s name, he would love the opportunity to explore outside his realm of reporting and step foot into the anchoring side of news.
